The Challenge: A well intervention team faced dangerous leaks while pumping 28% Hydrochloric Acid (HCl). High ambient heat (120°F+) and acid exposure caused their standard NBR packings to swell and blister.
Our Solution: We expedited 200 sets of Viton® (FKM) Swivel Joint Kits with Stainless Steel anti-extrusion rings for superior chemical inertness.
The Result: Zero leaks reported during the 3-week campaign. The stainless steel backups prevented corrosion, allowing for equipment recertification.
