The right seal for the connection
Hammer union seals form part of the connection between flowline components. Select the replacement against the union figure and equipment reference, not pipe size alone. Seals with similar outside dimensions can have different profiles and supporting-ring arrangements.
Compare the complete sealing arrangement
Identify the rubber seal and any separate supporting ring on the assembly drawing. The seal profile, groove and adjacent metal components must be considered together. A material name or a FIG designation alone does not establish the pressure rating of the complete connection.
Find a replacement
Browse our hammer union seals by FIG configuration. For a specific replacement, send the union reference, nominal size and a drawing or part number. Include the service fluid and temperature when discussing material selection. Follow the equipment manufacturer's installation and testing instructions.
