From a part reference to a sealing requirement

Royal Way works with drawings, part references and samples to identify oilfield sealing components. These give the team a practical starting point: the equipment involved, the component needed and the scope of replacement.

A drawing defines dimensions and tolerances. A part reference helps identify an existing configuration, while a photograph shows the visible shape. For a worn sample, the original drawing or assembly information helps distinguish the specified dimensions from changes caused by use.

Single components and repair kits

A request may concern one seal, a seal with a supporting ring or a complete maintenance kit. Identifying that scope early helps purchasing and maintenance teams compare the same items.

For swivel joint and setting-tool kits, include the equipment model, revision and component list. State whether you need a complete kit or selected replacement parts, and distinguish the number of kits from the quantity of each component. For a custom molded seal, provide the drawing revision, material requirement and critical assembly dimensions.

Keep the technical and purchasing details together

Quantity, sample needs, packaging and required documents affect the quotation as well as the part specification. Mixed orders are easier to define with a list of part references and quantities. Include any inspection criteria and state whether a material report, certificate of conformance or dimensional record is required.

If the drawing or material changes during the discussion, identify the final revision in the order requirements. That reference also provides a clear starting point for repeat purchases.
