HNBR seals for oilfield equipment
These O-rings use HNBR, or hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber. They are supplied as replacement sealing components for oilfield equipment specified for this material.
Size and compound selection
Identify the O-ring by its standard size designation or by inside diameter and cross-section. Include dimensional tolerances when ordering from a drawing. The compound grade and hardness are separate requirements from the ring size.
For a replacement, include the equipment part number and the HNBR specification on the existing drawing. Where the material has not been specified, provide the service fluid, operating temperature and pressure, and whether the seal is used in a stationary or moving assembly.
